one of my best friends, alli, had a baby several weeks ago (he's 2 1/2 weeks old) and he's just the sweetest thing ever. i felt lucky enough to visit him in the hospital shortly after he entered the world! mom, baby, and dad looked great and mom and dad seemed so happy to have their baby in their arms. last week, jeff and i were able to visit with them again... and everyone is continuing to do great and they're adjusting to the new roles as mom and dad. baby paul is so cuddly and absolutely adorable. you forget how small and lovely newborn babies can be. he just snuggles up in your arms or on your chest, in a sleepy, little state of contentment! yesterday, some of our college (xavier univ) girl friends made a trip to cincinnati to visit and we spent some more time with baby paul. joe, alli's husband was the only husband there, but he spent most of the time away from the baby fest, since most of us are moms and we had lots of mommy talk to do! baby paul had some good baby company, too, in jack and baby matt (7 months). joe took this photo of arica, alli and paul, me and jack, suzanne and matt, and lisa. i love these friends! the second photo is paul, in all his cuteness. he is also my godson! i feel so privileged.
